What is the Pulpí Geode?

Discovered in 1999, the Pulpí Geode is an 8-meter-long cavity completely lined with sparkling selenite crystals — some over 2 meters in size. Visitors can admire the surreal beauty of these transparent crystals up close in a specially protected section of the mine.

Where Is It?

The geode is located in Mina Rica, just outside the village of Pilar de Jaravía in the municipality of Pulpí, Almería. It’s a short drive from coastal towns like San Juan de los Terreros, Vera, and Mojácar.
